Beethoven's traces begin in Bonn

Dear colleagues,

Even though the esteemed Mr. Beethoven did not include Bonn in his concert tour route in 1796, from my perspective, we must consider Bonn as his birthplace in our project. Here are his roots, here 'everything' began, and we know from today's perspective how much childhood shapes us as people.

'The house at Bonngasse 20, where the composer Ludwig van Beethoven was born in December 1770, is one of the few surviving Bonn town houses from the 18th century. Its baroque stone facade was built over a cellar vault from the 12th or 13th century.” (Source: Beethoven Museeum)
