"Sound Carpets" for the 5th Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven
A photo of my first "Sound Carpets", which I drew (blind) (a drawing technique where you don't look at the paper while drawing), while listening to Beethoven's 5th Symphony - only from a CD that I borrowed - as the soprano currently had no time for a meeting.
I confess, I prefer to draw "live experiences" ... Beethoven 'from CD' is not quite there for me yet - let's see: trial and error …
In parallel, I am currently working on live dance sketches (also "blind drawn", meaning here I only followed the dancer and her movements without looking at the drawing paper) - in the DADA context: the dancer wore a DADA costume.
And when I hung these different drawings next to each other in the studio, they began a dialogue with each other - no idea where the intersection between DADA and Beethoven lies…
