Sound Carpets for the 5th Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven
A photo of my first 'Sound Carpets', which I drew (blind) (drawing technique where you don't look at the paper while drawing) while listening to Beethoven's 5th Symphony - only from a CD I borrowed - as the soprano currently had no time for a meeting.
I confess, I prefer to draw 'live experiences'... Beethoven 'from CD' is not quite it for me yet - let's see: trial and error ...
In parallel, I am currently working on live dance sketches (also 'blind drawn', i.e. here I only followed the dancer and her movements and did not look at the drawing paper) - in the DADA context: the dancer was wearing a DADA costume.
And when I hung these different drawings next to each other in the studio, they began a dialogue with each other - no idea where the intersection between DADA and Beethoven lies...
